Godrevy Beach and its lighthouse are 5.8 miles, and the National Trust stretch of Gwithian Towans dunes is 6.1 miles.

Carn Brea hill - the local landmark with its 19th-century castle and war memorial - is visible from the area and offers views across to St Ives Bay on clear days. Redruth and Camborne are each within about 3.1 miles for supermarkets and the railway line.
