Castle Point

Castle Point is a detached three-bedroom cottage in Polruan, formerly the village's Harbour Master's residence. It sleeps 5 across a king, a double and a single room with an additional trundle bed, and two bathrooms serve the group.

The cottage has estuary views toward Fowey, and a patio provides outdoor dining space. A wood burner, Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included. There is no hot tub, and dogs are not accepted. The outlook is estuary rather than open sea, and the trundle should be confirmed with the host if it is needed as a genuine sixth bed.

Parking is provided outside. Polruan's passenger ferry crosses to Fowey in about 5 minutes, and Readymoney Cove is 600 metres away. Lantic Bay, reached along the coast path, is 1.2 miles from the cottage, and Lansallos Beach is 2.6 miles further on.

The village has a general store and two pubs, the Lugger on the quay and the Russell Inn higher up the hill. Only three reviews give the cottage its 4.8 rating, so the sample is too small to draw firm conclusions, though cleanliness, comfort and location all scored 5.

**Best for:** a family wanting estuary views, two bathrooms and quick ferry access to Fowey's restaurants and shops. **Less good for:** guests relying on the trundle as a confirmed sixth space, or anyone needing EV charging or step-free access.
