Cawsand

Cawsand is an end-terrace cottage near Tideford in southeast Cornwall, sleeping 2 in a single double bedroom. The entire property is on the ground floor, with step-free access throughout - a practical choice for guests with mobility needs.

Inside, an open-plan living area combines kitchen, dining, and sitting space. A wood burner anchors the room, with patio doors opening onto a raised patio. The kitchen has an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine. A separate utility room houses the washing machine, tumble dryer, and extra freezer space. The shower room has a walk-in shower. WiFi, Netflix, and oil central heating are all included, along with bed linen, towels, fuel, and power.

Outside, off-road parking comes with secure storage for bikes, fishing tackle, and golf bags - useful given the Caradon Trail and nearby Lynher valley walks. A BBQ is available on request. Two dogs are welcome.

The cottage sits in quiet farmland beside the River Lynher, about 3 miles from Saltash and 15 minutes by car from Plymouth via the A38. Downderry Beach is the nearest stretch of sand at 4.5 miles, with Whitsand Bay 6.1 miles away. A pub and butcher are 1.4 miles from the door, with a general shop at 2.4 miles.

**Best for:** dog owners after a quiet countryside base, since two dogs are welcomed and off-road parking includes secure storage for outdoor gear near the Caradon Trail and Lynher valley walks. **Less good for:** beach-lovers wanting to walk to the sand, since the nearest beach, Downderry, is 4.5 miles away and a car is needed to reach it.
