Christmas Cottage

Christmas Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage for 4 in Helford, a thatched village on the south bank of the Helford River. One bedroom has a king-size bed and the other is a twin, sharing one bathroom.

Original period features sit alongside a wood burner, and a garden patio looks out near the winding creek. Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and washing machine are included. There is no hot tub, and dogs are not accepted.

The village lies within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the South West Coast Path running along both riverbanks. Helford Passage Beach is 0.7 miles away via the seasonal foot ferry, Ponsence Cove is 1.2 miles and Porth Saxon Beach is 1.6 miles from the cottage.

Helford has no shop of its own - the nearest is in Manaccan, about a mile south - so self-catering guests should plan supplies before arriving. The Shipwright's Arms, one of the few Cornish pubs with no car park, sits on the creek and is reached on foot or by boat. Falmouth is about 9 miles by road.
