Chy An Nor

Chy An Nor is a two-bedroom cottage in West Looe, set in a row of whitewashed cottages on the lane running down to the harbour. Renovated throughout, it sleeps four with harbour and sea views over the rooftops from the master bedroom, and a reserved parking permit for a space within 150 yards.

Inside, a stable door opens into an open-plan kitchen and diner with electric hob, fridge, dishwasher and washer-dryer. Two steps lead up to the living room with two sofas. Upstairs, the double bedroom has a 4ft 6in bed, fitted wardrobe, handbasin and electric shower cubicle; the twin has two single beds. WiFi runs throughout. Dogs are not accepted.

Outside, a small rear courtyard is useful for storing beach gear. West Looe is quieter than the east side - a walk along the quayside and over the bridge brings you to the shops, pubs and restaurants of East Looe, or the passenger ferry crosses between the two. Looe's sandy beach, sheltered by the Banjo pier, is a short walk from the cottage.

Best for couples or friends travelling together who want a town-centre harbour location with sea views on a budget. Less good for guests needing on-site parking - the permit covers a nearby car park rather than a private space.
