100 Hillside Villas

100 Hillside Villas is a single-storey 2-bedroom cottage within Millendreath Holiday Village, on the coast just east of Looe. The resort setting - with its own private beach, bar, cafe, and summer watersports programme - gives it a different character from standalone self-catering in the area. Prices from £1,275 per week, with Friday changeover.

Inside, the open-plan living space centres on an electric fire and Smart TV. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and washing machine. Both bedrooms have their own Smart TV, and the shower room serves the whole cottage. Dogs are welcome, with two pets accepted.

Enclosed decking wraps the outside with garden furniture and a BBQ, backed by woodland to the north. Parking is on site. Plaidy Beach - a calm sand-and-shingle cove with rock pools and year-round dog access - is about 600 metres from the cottage. East Looe Beach is under 2 miles, and Hannafore Beach on the West Looe side is about 2.5 miles.

Looe is a genuine working fishing town split across a river estuary, with fish restaurants, independent shops, and boat trips to Looe Island nature reserve. The coast path west through woodland leads to Polperro - one of the most photogenic harbour villages in south Cornwall.

Best for: couples or families with dogs wanting resort facilities plus beach access without the crowds of central Looe. Less good for: guests who want a quiet rural retreat - Millendreath is a managed holiday park with shared amenities.
