Claire's Cottage

Claire's Cottage is a ground-floor annexe in the hamlet of Stibb, near Kilkhampton, with a wood burner and private garden - a practical base for two adults and two children exploring the north Cornwall coast.

Inside, the single-storey layout has two bedrooms (one double, one twin), a shower room, and an open-plan living area combining kitchen, dining space, and sitting room. An electric woodburner-effect fire provides warmth on cooler evenings. A washing machine and tumble dryer are included, along with a TV with Freeview and a DVD player.

The lawned garden is fully private, with a patio and outdoor furniture. Off-road parking fits two cars. Sandymouth Beach - a wide, National Trust-managed strand with reliable surf - is 1.1km away. Duckpool Beach, a quieter rocky cove with rock pools, sits 1.8km to the north.

Kilkhampton village, about 2.5 miles east, has a pub, post office, and the 15th-century Church of St James with its carved bench ends. The Coombe Valley nature reserve is within walking distance, and Bude's town beaches and sea pool are under 20 minutes by car.
