Cliftons Guesthouse

Cliftons is a family-run guest house in a detached Victorian villa at 46 Tregolls Road, Truro, built in the 1890s, the same decade as Truro Cathedral half a mile away. It's a 5 to 10-minute walk from the city centre. The house keeps many original features from its build and has operated as a guest house under the same family for years.

Rooms are comfortable and come with WiFi and a private off-street car park at the rear of the building. Breakfast is cooked using local produce where possible. The house sits close to the main A30, with Truro also on the mainline from London Paddington and served by National Cycle Routes 3 and 32.

Truro is Cornwall's county town and cathedral city, a central base for both the north and south coasts. Cliftons is 12 miles from Newquay, putting the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan within a short drive. Pendower beach on the Roseland coast is 5.8 miles away.

Best for business trips and short breaks needing a walkable city-centre base with off-street parking included. Less good for beach-first holidays, since the nearest sandy beach at Pendower is a drive rather than a walk from Tregolls Road.
