Cliftons Guesthouse

Cliftons is a family-run B&B in a detached Victorian villa on Tregolls Road, Truro, built in the 1890s - the same decade as Truro Cathedral. The guesthouse is a 10-minute walk from the city centre and offers free off-street parking in a private car park to the rear, along with a garden.

Rooms retain original period features and breakfasts use local produce where available. Wi-Fi is included throughout. The property suits both leisure and business guests, and is on National Cycle Routes 3 and 32 for those arriving by bike.

Truro Cathedral - Cornwall’s only Gothic Revival cathedral, completed in 1910 - is half a mile away on foot. The Royal Cornwall Museum, the Hall for Cornwall theatre, and the indoor Pannier Market are all within walking distance of the city centre. The Eden Project is a 30-minute drive east; the Lost Gardens of Heligan are under 25 minutes south. Pendower Beach on the Roseland - a mile-long low-tide stretch on Gerrans Bay - is roughly 6 miles away. Truro station provides mainline connections to London Paddington, and the A30 is a short drive north.

**Best for**: Couples, solo travellers, and business guests wanting a central Truro base with parking and a short walk to shops and the cathedral. Good access to the Eden Project and Heligan.

**Less good for**: Those wanting a coastal location - Truro is an inland city and the nearest beaches are a 20-minute drive.
