Coastal Lookout is a first-floor apartment at Harlyn Bay in north Cornwall, sleeping 4 across a king-size bedroom with en-suite and a twin room. A private lane runs directly from the property to Harlyn Bay Beach - around 200 metres to the sand. Harlyn is one of the more sheltered north Cornwall beaches, which means manageable waves for swimming even when other beaches are blown out, and dogs are welcome year-round.

The apartment is open-plan, with a lounge featuring original Ercol furniture and a large bay window, and a kitchen/diner with dishwasher, washing machine, and sea views from the dining table. The private balcony off the kitchen is the most direct way to take in those views - worth it for a morning coffee at low tide. Both bedrooms are on the same floor as the living areas. The site also has a shared lawned garden with sun loungers and a children’s play area.

Padstow is 3 miles by road - Nathan Outlaw’s seafood restaurants and the working harbour are the main draw, plus the Camel Trail cycle path. Mother Ivey’s Bay, a smaller cove, is about a mile from the apartment on the coast path. Trevone Bay is 1.7 miles east, and the Trevose Head Lighthouse is walkable from the coastal path above the bay.

**Best for:** Families or two couples wanting a safe, dog-friendly beach essentially on the doorstep, with Padstow’s dining within easy reach. The on-site play area suits families with younger children.

**Less good for:** Those after a hot tub, wood burner, or evening atmosphere - the site is quiet and residential, and the nearest pub is a short walk to the Harlyn Inn.
