Cockle Island Cottage is a fully ground-floor 1-bedroom cottage in Porthallow, sleeping 2 with 1 bathroom. The South West Coast Path passes directly through the village. Porthoustock Beach, a working quarry harbour with a small beach area, is 2km along the path.

The eastern Lizard coastline sees fewer visitors than the western side around Kynance Cove, which means the coast path between Porthallow, Porthoustock and Ponsence Cove is generally uncrowded even in August. Helston, the nearest market town, is around 9km for grocery shopping and a weekly market.

This cottage suits couples looking for a quiet base on the Lizard with accessible facilities and open-fire comfort. Good for walkers using the coast path. Not great for guests who need more than one bedroom, or anyone wanting evening entertainment within walking distance.
