Coinage Hall

Coinage Hall is a two-bedroom cottage on Quay Street in Lostwithiel, Cornwall's former medieval capital and a stannary town that once controlled the tin trade. Two kayaks are included for use on the River Fowey, which runs through the centre of town.

The ground floor has a double bedroom, a bathroom with sunken bath and handheld shower, and a kitchen. The living and dining room has a gas fire. A mezzanine double bedroom sits above, accessed through the ground-floor bedroom. The layout works for couples or a small family of four. Central heating, WiFi, and bed linen are included.

A courtyard with furniture provides outdoor seating. Roadside parking is available on a first-come basis, and two well-behaved pets are welcome. Shops and a pub are within 0.1 miles. Readymoney Cove, a sheltered sandy beach below St Catherine's Castle in Fowey, is 8.7 km south. Carlyon Bay, a long sandy beach near St Austell with watersports hire, is 9.5 km away.

Lostwithiel has antique shops lining Fore Street and regular farmers' markets. Restormel Castle, one of Cornwall's best-preserved Norman keeps, stands just over a mile from the town. Lanhydrock, the National Trust estate, is roughly 3 miles north. The town has its own station on the London Paddington to Penzance rail line.
