Coombe Barn

Coombe Barn is a reverse-level conversion on an organic working farm in the hamlet of Cusgarne, near Perranarworthal. The open-plan living space sits on the first floor, with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area arranged around a woodburning stove. Fuel, a starter pack and power are all included in the rent, and underfloor heating runs alongside central heating.

The bedrooms are downstairs, and each has its own en-suite: one with a bath and a shower over it, the other with a walk-in shower. The barn sleeps six, and the sitting area has a sofa bed. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is a Smart TV, WiFi, a selection of books and some games, bed linen and towels are provided, and a travel cot and highchair can be supplied on request.

Guests share the rear courtyard, orchards and gardens, which have outdoor furniture. Parking is off-road for one car, and a second may be possible if you ask first. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There is no smoking, and changeovers never fall on a Sunday. The farm shop is 0.6 miles away, the pub 0.3 miles and Truro 6.4 miles.

Two neighbouring barns can be booked alongside this one for up to 14 guests in total. Coombe Barn suits two couples or a small family who like a farm setting, and is less good for anyone who wants living space and bedrooms on the same level.
