The coast path north toward Pendeen Watch and south toward Land's End passes close by. Gwynver Beach, one of the wider and less-visited surf beaches in far west Cornwall, is 2.9km. Sennen Cove, with a sandy beach and surf school, is 4.6km and has a seasonal car park.

This cottage works for couples seeking a contemporary base in the far west, with easy access to the coast path and Cape Cornwall. Good for those who want accessible facilities in a rural setting. Not great for guests expecting proximity to a town centre - St Just has a small post office, pub, and convenience store, but Penzance is 12km for larger shops.
