One-bedroom barn conversion at Kelynack, a quiet hamlet a mile south of St Just, sleeping 2. The cottage sits on a working stretch of the Penwith peninsula - more granite walls and grazing fields than coastal cottages, with the cliffs and the South West Coast Path a short drive west.

Single bedroom upstairs, sitting room with an open fire downstairs, one bathroom. Wifi, off-road parking and washing machine are included. The enclosed garden gets afternoon and evening sun. Changeover day is Saturday, and stays are booked by the week. The cottage has one bedroom and one bathroom for its two guests.

Cape Cornwall is around 2 miles north-west, with the boulder cove at Priest's Cove at its foot (1.8 miles from the cottage) and the Heinz-erected stack on the headland a recognisable landmark. Gwynver Beach - the sandy north end of Sennen Cove - is 1.4 miles, with Sennen itself at 2.5 miles. St Just village square (clock tower, two pubs, the bakery) is a 15-minute walk.

Best for couples wanting a quiet rural base in Penwith for coastal walks, surf trips to Sennen, and mining heritage at Botallack. Less good for guests who want dog-friendly stays, or to walk to a sandy beach - the closest is Gwynver, a 25-minute walk down lanes.
