Crabtree Cottage

Crabtree Cottage is built on a reverse-level plan: both bedrooms are downstairs and the living area is on the first floor, so the stairs are part of every day here. It stands in the grounds of Bude Coastal Resort, near Bude, and sleeps 4 guests.

The bedrooms are a double and a twin, and a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC sits alongside them on the same floor. Upstairs, the open-plan space combines the kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a Smart TV and DVD player. The kitchen has an oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster, with a fridge and icebox. WiFi, central heating, bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all part of the booking.

Outside there is a decked area with furniture. Parking is in the on-site car park. Guests share the resort's indoor swimming pool, gym, putting green and outdoor playground, and evening entertainment is laid on. A cot and highchair can be requested, but cot linen and a mattress are not supplied, so bring your own. The cottage sits on a holiday park, so a refundable Good Housekeeping bond applies.

No pets are allowed and smoking is not permitted. The cottage suits a couple or a small family, and it is less good for anyone who finds stairs difficult, since the kitchen and lounge are on the upper level.
