Tintagel village is under 2km south-east of the barn. The ruined headland castle, managed by English Heritage, is associated with Arthurian legend and draws around 200,000 visitors per year. Rocky Valley, a narrow wooded gorge with twin waterfalls running down to the coast, is a short walk from the village and largely overlooked by tourists. Boscastle harbour, with its National Trust visitor centre and witchcraft museum, is about 6km north.

Ideal for couples wanting a remote north coast base with access to dramatic walking and the Tintagel heritage circuit. The single bedroom and compact footprint suit two people travelling light. Less good for those needing more space, dog-friendly arrangements, or access to surf beaches.
