Edwin's View

Edwin's View is a detached single-storey cottage on a working farm at Nancegollan, between Helston and the south Cornwall coast. All principal rooms sit on the ground floor - a practical layout for guests who prefer to avoid stairs, though a small step connects the hallway to the kitchen-diner.

The two bedrooms comprise a king-size room and a twin, served by a single bathroom with a P-shape bath and drench shower. The sitting room has an open fire for cooler evenings, and a conservatory provides additional living space overlooking the enclosed garden. The kitchen runs to an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, and fridge, with a dishwasher and washing machine included.

Outside, the garden combines lawn, patio, and a gravelled seating area, with off-road parking for up to 4 cars. The neighbouring Mill and Courtyard cottages on the same farm can be reserved alongside Edwin's View for larger groups or extended family gatherings.

Porthleven Beach - with its harbour-side restaurants including Kota and the annual Porthleven Food Festival - is 4.4 miles south. Porthcew at Rinsey Cove, a National Trust beach where the cliffs expose the remains of the Wheal Prosper mine engine house, is 4.5 miles away. Helston is a short drive north, and the Lizard is around 20 minutes by road.

**Best for:** Couples or small families wanting a quiet working-farm setting with easy access to south Cornwall's coast.

**Less good for:** Guests wanting beach within walking distance - all three nearest beaches require a drive of at least 4 miles.
