Elfin Cottage

Elfin Cottage is a two-storey fisherman’s cottage in Porthleven, sleeping 6 across 3 bedrooms - 2 doubles and 1 twin - with 2 bathrooms. The ground floor has a sitting room with both a wood burner and an open fire, a kitchen-diner, and an accessible shower room with a level-access wet room. A south-facing enclosed garden with seating is at the rear.

Porthleven Beach is 500 metres from the cottage. The working harbour, which is one of the few active fishing harbours left on the south coast of Cornwall, has independent restaurants on the harbourside and a sea-front cafe row. The village has a post office, butcher, and bakery within a few minutes on foot.

Loe Pool, Cornwall’s largest freshwater lake, sits roughly 1km along the coastal path to the east. The path runs between the pool and the cliff edge, with views over Mount’s Bay towards Penzance and St Michael’s Mount on clear days. Praa Sands, a long south-facing strand, is 5.5km to the west.

Ideal for families or groups of up to 6 seeking a coastal base with accessible ground-floor facilities and multiple beaches within reach. The lack of on-site pool is not a gap given the proximity to Porthleven’s working harbour and beach. Not great for dog owners, as the property does not accept pets.
