Estuary Cottage Hayle

Estuary Cottage is a two-bedroom property in Hayle, positioned near Copperhouse Pool at the edge of the tidal estuary. It sleeps three. Dogs are not accepted. The nearest beach, Porthkidney, is roughly a mile away - a dune-backed strand within the Hayle Estuary SSSI, known for birdwatching and open views across St Ives Bay.

The two bedrooms consist of a super-king room overlooking Copperhouse Pool and a single room with a window seat. The bathroom has a roll-top bath. A wood burner sits in the living room for cooler evenings, and the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. The garden has a patio and BBQ.

The RSPB Hayle Estuary reserve is directly opposite - one of the best spots in Cornwall for waders and wildfowl. The South West Coast Path passes close by, heading west toward Lelant and on to St Ives in roughly 7 miles. St Ives is also 8 miles by road or reachable by the coastal branch-line railway. Gwithian Towans, 3 miles east, is a good option for surfing and longer beach walks.

**Best for:** Couples or pairs of friends who value quiet estuary views, wildlife, and easy access to St Ives without the town crowds. **Less good for:** Families needing more than 3 beds.
