The Hayle estuary sits close by and draws wading birds and wildfowl year-round; it is a good area for birdwatching without driving. St Ives is 15 minutes by car, or reachable via the coast path if you want the exercise.

Best for couples wanting a quiet base within range of the St Ives Bay beaches. Less suitable for anyone expecting a remote rural retreat - Strawberry Lane sits on the edge of Hayle's residential streets, and the barn is a conversion rather than a traditional cottage.
