Farm Cottage is an 18th-century farmhouse near Cardinham, sleeping 7 across four bedrooms: two king-size rooms, one twin and one single. Two bathrooms serve the group, workable for a family or mixed group of this size.

Exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace retain parts of the original interior, backed up by both a wood burner and an open fire for cooler evenings. The large kitchen and dining area supports shared meals for the full group. Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included, and the garden has a barbecue and outdoor dining space. Dogs are not accepted, so this suits guests travelling without pets.

The farmhouse stands within 17 acres of woodland and meadow beside the River Fowey. Guests have fishing rights for salmon and trout, plus direct access to walking trails through the grounds. Lanhydrock and the Eden Project are 5 miles away, Looe is 10 miles away and Fowey is 14 miles away, all reasonable day trips by car.

The nearest sea swimming is further out: Lansallos Beach is 9 miles away, Readymoney Cove is 9.1 miles and Lantic Bay is 9.3 miles, so this is a countryside base rather than a coastal one.

**Best for:** a larger family or mixed group wanting woodland walks, river fishing rights and four bedrooms in a rural setting.

**Less good for:** guests wanting beaches within walking distance, step-free accommodation, or a pool or hot tub.
