Glamping pod, St Ives

This glamping pod in St Ives is built for two. It is one open studio-style space with a double bed beside a sofa area, a TV and a kitchen area, and it has glimpses across the bay. It sleeps two, and there is no separate bedroom: the sleeping, sitting and cooking areas share one room, and the shower room is separate.

Cooking facilities are basic: a microwave and a fridge/freezer. The shower room has a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Heating, WiFi, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are all included. Check-in is at 4pm and check-out at 10am.

Outside, the pod has a private garden area with patio furniture. Parking is roadside. The nearest pub is 0.3 miles away and the shop 0.5 miles, and Porthmeor is among the beaches within walking distance.

St Ives is known for its harbour, its beaches and a community of artists. Days out include the Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Carbis Bay is a short trip for more sand, and Penzance, 6 miles away, and Land's End are further afield.

The pod suits a couple wanting a compact base with a garden of their own, and it is less good for anyone travelling with a dog, as pets are not allowed. Smoking is not allowed either.
