Marazion Beach is 800 metres on foot - a shallow-shelving sandy beach facing the Mount, calm enough for paddling and popular with stand-up paddleboarders. Long Rock Beach is just over half a mile further east. The Mount itself is reached by causeway at low tide or ferry at high tide; the castle and priory on top are managed by the National Trust.

Penzance is a short drive east and has a mainline rail connection to London Paddington; the Isles of Scilly ferry and helicopter service both depart from there. The South West Coast Path runs through Marazion, making it a practical base for day-walk sections of the far west.

Best for couples or a small family who want direct views of St Michael's Mount from the property and easy access to Penzance and the far west. Less good for larger groups - the house sleeps 4 only.
