Harlyn Retallack

Harlyn Retallack is a two-bedroom lodge for four on a holiday resort at Winnards Perch, a hamlet at the A39/A389 junction about a mile north of St Columb Major. Both bedrooms have super king-size beds and share one bathroom, suiting two couples more than four guests each wanting privacy. The lounge has a Smart TV and patio doors to a deck, the main bedroom opens onto its own terrace, and the resort has a bar, shop and restaurant.

A private hot tub and access to the resort's swimming pool and spa are included, setting the lodge apart from a simple self-catering base. FlowRider, Wake Park, Water Zorbs and stand-up paddleboards cost extra. Parking, a dishwasher and a garden are also included, and one dog can stay.

St Columb Major, the nearest village with services, has a small supermarket, several pubs, a pharmacy and the Red Lion Hotel, and hosts the Shrove Tuesday hurling match, a tradition dating back centuries. Mawgan Porth is 5.3 miles away, Watergate Bay 5.7 miles and Bedruthan Steps Beach 5.8 miles, all inside half an hour by car.
