Kudhva

Kudhva is a four-bedroom lodge for eight on a resort near Winnards Perch, a hamlet just north of St Columb Major that sits roughly midway between Cornwall's north and south coasts.

The split-level interior has vaulted ceilings, an upstairs lounge with an air hockey table, and two decked terraces, one holding a private hot tub. Two super-king bedrooms, a double and a twin share two bathrooms. A dishwasher and washing machine are included, and up to two dogs can stay, but there's no WiFi and no confirmed step-free layout.

Resort facilities extend well beyond the lodge itself: an indoor pool, gym, spa, sauna, steam room and FlowRider surf machine, all reachable on site. Parking covers two cars.

Mawgan Porth is 5.3 miles away, Watergate Bay 5.7 miles and Bedruthan Steps Beach 5.8 miles, so beach visits mean a drive rather than a walk. St Columb Major, a mile south, still holds its Shrove Tuesday hurling match through the streets, a tradition centuries old.
