Calypso

Calypso is a Scandinavian-style lodge at a holiday resort in Winnards Perch, mid-Cornwall, sleeping up to eight across four bedrooms. The lodge's design sets it apart from typical Cornwall cottages - vaulted ceilings, exposed timber beams and a pool table give it the feel of a Scandinavian ski retreat transplanted to the Cornish countryside.

The four bedrooms are all zip-and-link, so each can be configured as a super-king or twin depending on your group. Three of the four bedrooms are super-king zip-and-link; the fourth starts as a twin but can convert to a super-king if preferred. Three bathrooms serve the eight guests. Two separate lounges, a decked terrace with open countryside views, a BBQ for summer evenings, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher complete the setup. EV charging is on site and parking is included. No washing machine listed - pack accordingly or check with the owner. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Winnards Perch sits where the A39 meets the A389, about 1 mile north of St Columb Major. The north coast is within easy reach: Mawgan Porth is 5.3 miles, Bedruthan Steps 5.8 miles, and Watergate Bay also around 5.8 miles. Newquay Airport is approximately 5 miles west. Best for groups of 6-8 wanting a base that reaches both the north coast surf beaches and inland Cornwall without long drives. Less good for those wanting to walk to a pub or beach - you will need a car for everything here, and there is no WiFi listed.
