Merlin Lodge is a three-bedroom lodge for six near Winnards Perch, a hamlet at the junction of the A39 and A389 about a mile north of St Columb Major. Two king-size bedrooms and a twin room divide the group, and two bathrooms reduce queues at busy times.

A large enclosed garden with a barbecue gives space for families and dogs together, and woodland and lakeside walks begin from the doorstep. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included, and up to two dogs can stay. There is no hot tub, wood burner or open fire, so the lodge relies on its own heating through the evenings.

Mawgan Porth is 4.8 miles away, Watergate Bay is 5.2 miles and Bedruthan Steps Beach is 5.3 miles, all on the north coast reachable via the A39 towards Wadebridge. The lodge sits close to the Atlantic Highway, giving quick road access to both Padstow and Newquay without cutting across single-track lanes.

St Columb Major, the nearest village with services, has a small supermarket, several pubs and the Red Lion Hotel, and hosts a Shrove Tuesday hurling match that dates back centuries. Newquay Airport is about five miles west and the Eden Project around twelve miles south-east.
