Hayle Bay

Hayle Bay is a five-bedroom beach house in New Polzeath, sleeping ten across three super-king beds and two zip-and-link twins - all convertible to different configurations on request. Sea views extend from multiple elevations, and the position puts Polzeath Beach 400 metres away on foot: an RNLI-lifeguarded half-mile surf break with left and right-hand breaks served by several surf schools.

Inside, a wood burner anchors the main living space, with designer interiors and room to seat ten comfortably for meals. Five bathrooms mean no bottlenecks for a full house. The kitchen is fully equipped for group self-catering.

Outside, multiple sun decks, a fire pit terrace, and a heated outdoor shower make the most of the elevated position and sea aspect. Up to 2 dogs are welcome, and off-road parking and a BBQ are included. The nearest shops and restaurants are in Polzeath village, a 5-10 minute walk.

Greenaway Beach, a quieter stretch with rock pools, is 1.4 miles along the coast path. Daymer Bay - sheltered, sandy, and good for families - is 2 miles south. Rock, with its water taxi service to Padstow running every 20 minutes, is about 3 miles away. The Camel Trail starts 7 miles south at Wadebridge for flat cycling along the estuary to Padstow.

**Best for:** large families and surf-focused groups wanting sea views, flexibility on sleeping arrangements, and multiple beaches within walking distance. **Less good for:** those wanting a quiet retreat - New Polzeath is livelier in peak season, and parking in the wider village can be tight.
