Heather Bude

Heather is a two-bedroom lodge for four on a 7-acre riverside park near Poughill, on Bude's northern edge, rated 4 stars. One double and one twin bedroom share a bathroom beside the open-plan lounge and kitchen.

An enclosed deck holds a private hot tub and a barbecue, with a dog-friendly garden below. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and parking for one car are included, with additional spaces nearby. There is no washing machine, wood burner or EV charging point, so this suits a shorter stay or a group happy to use Bude's launderettes.

Crooklets Beach, Northcott Mouth Beach and Summerleaze Beach are each about 2 miles from the park, all within Bude's reach for surfing and swimming. Bude town centre, with its surf hire shops and restaurants, is roughly a mile south. Poughill itself has a 15th-century church, St Olaf's, one of only two in England dedicated to the Norwegian saint, and the Poughill guide covers the coast path north toward Morwenstow.
