Higher Treliver Farmhouse

Higher Treliver Farmhouse is a four-bedroom farmhouse for eight in St Wenn, around 5 miles from Wadebridge. Two king-size rooms, a double and a twin sleep the group across two bathrooms, and one king-size room has its own en-suite WC. Period shuttered windows and country views from every room keep the farmhouse feel, while a traditional AGA range cooker anchors the kitchen.

The lounge has a wood burner for cooler evenings, and outside the enclosed garden holds a sheltered sunken dining area, a barbecue and a Scandinavian-style wood-fired hot tub. WiFi, parking and a dishwasher are included, and up to two dogs can stay. There is no washing machine, so longer stays need a plan for laundry.

This is an inland, rural base rather than a coastal one: Daymer Bay Beach and Mawgan Porth are each about 8.2 miles away, and Trevone Bay a further 8.4 miles, all requiring a drive rather than a walk. Retallack Resort, with its artificial wave machine, is around 5 miles away and makes a closer alternative for water time. Two reviews give the farmhouse a 4.5 out of 5 rating.

**Less good for:** beachgoers wanting to walk to the coast, guests relying on a washing machine, or anyone needing confirmed step-free access.
