Honeysuckle Cottage

Honeysuckle Cottage is a two-bedroom property on Charlestown Road, 200 metres from Charlestown Beach and its Georgian harbour where tall ships are moored year-round. The cottage has a ground-floor bathroom with bath, shower over and basin, making it accessible for guests who prefer to avoid stairs for washing facilities.

The two bedrooms - one double, one twin - are on the upper floor. The kitchen is separate, equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, washer-dryer and dishwasher. The living and dining room has an electric fire. A TV, DVD player, WiFi and a selection of books and games are included. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Roadside parking is available on a first-come basis. The garden has a grassed area with furniture. Charlestown Beach - coarse sand with rock pools at low tide, and the harbour walls from the 1790s framing the view - is 200 metres. Carlyon Bay, a longer sandy beach with watersports hire, is 0.6 miles east.

Charlestown itself has cafes, a gallery and the Shipwreck Treasure Museum with over 8,000 artefacts from 165 shipwrecks. The pub is 0.1 miles away, and the shop is 0.2 miles. St Austell is under 2 miles north, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about 5 miles along the coast road. The Eden Project is a 10-minute drive inland.

Best for couples or a small family wanting to be 200 metres from Charlestown's harbour and pub. Less good for anyone needing full step-free access - the ground-floor bathroom is accessible, but both bedrooms are upstairs.
