Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle is a semi-detached barn conversion in a quiet rural spot close to Newquay. The house is laid out upside-down: the bedrooms are on the ground floor and the kitchen and living/dining room are on the first floor, arranged to take advantage of the views. There are steps down to the entrance.

The four bedrooms sleep seven: two ground-floor doubles, a ground-floor twin and a single. A ground-floor bathroom has a bath with shower over, and there is a separate shower room. Upstairs, the living/dining room has a gas fire, and the kitchen has a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a TV with Freeview, a DVD player, WiFi, books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are covered, and a cot, highchair and stairgate are provided.

The private, enclosed front garden is lawned, with furniture and a barbecue. A secure store for bikes and surfboards is available, and there is an area to rinse and dry wetsuits. Off-road parking is for two cars only. The shop is 1.5 miles away and the pub 1 mile.

Two well-behaved pets are welcome, and dogs outside must be kept on a lead at all times. Smoking is not allowed and stag, hen and similar parties are not accepted. In July and August only weekly bookings from a Saturday are taken; at other times the minimum stay is three nights.

The bedroom count makes it best for a family or group of up to seven; the entrance steps and the stairs to the kitchen make it less good for anyone who finds stairs hard.
