Castle Beach, a more sheltered option, is around 1,300 metres in the other direction. Swanpool Beach is just over a mile south along the coastal path.

Pendennis Castle, Henry VIII's coastal fortress at the mouth of the Fal, is about a mile from the property. The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is on the harbourside, a short walk into the town centre.
