Kernow Cottage

Kernow Cottage is a detached property in Porthleven, a harbour village on Cornwall's south coast with a growing reputation as a food destination. Both bedrooms sit on the ground floor - a useful layout for anyone who finds stairs difficult - while the open-plan living space is on the first floor.

The ground floor has a double bedroom, a twin, and a utility room with basin and WC. Upstairs, the bathroom has a bath with shower over, and the living area combines kitchen, dining, and sitting space with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, and WiFi. A cot is available.

Off-road parking takes 2 cars, and a private enclosed patio has outdoor furniture. The village shop and pub are about 3 minutes' walk, with Kota Restaurant and other harbour-side dining close by.

Porthleven Beach is 600 metres away - a south-west facing sandy beach that picks up Atlantic swell and draws experienced surfers in winter, with RNLI lifeguards on duty in summer. Porthcew at Rinsey Cove, a National Trust beach with mining heritage visible on the cliffs, is 3.6 km along the coast path. Helston is a short drive north, the Lizard is 20 minutes south, and Penzance and Marazion are within easy reach to the west.
