Kingfisher Barn Lakes

Kingfisher Barn Lakes is a converted barn on the Devon-Cornwall border with exposed stonework and vaulted ceilings throughout. The barn sleeps 2 in a super-king bedroom on the upper level, with a skylight and countryside views. A day bed is available for a third guest. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, and a BBQ and EV charging point are on site.

Guests have shared access to 7 acres of grounds that include 2 carp-fishing lakes, a games room with table football and darts, and a complementary round of golf per stay. The grounds are well maintained and give the site a rural estate feel without being remote. Dog-friendly with space for 2 dogs and a garden for outdoor use.

Bude town and its surf beaches at Summerleaze and Crooklets are roughly 22 miles west via the A30. Dartmoor National Park lies to the east and Roadford Reservoir - one of the largest man-made lakes in south-west England - is 6.5 miles away for walking and water sports. Launceston, the nearest market town, is around 8 miles and has a supermarket, castle ruins, and a range of independent shops.

Best for couples or a solo traveller who want a rural retreat with on-site activities rather than a beach base. Good for fishing enthusiasts, dog owners, and anyone who wants a self-contained countryside break. Not great for those who need to be close to the coast or want a lively holiday-town atmosphere.
