Kippy Cottage

From Kippy Cottage the beach in Porthtowan is 0.3 miles away, the shop 0.2 miles and the pub just 0.1 mile. The cottage is in the middle of Porthtowan and sleeps four over two floors, with an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area downstairs.

Upstairs are a double bedroom with a sea view and a twin, and one bathroom with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. The patio, reached through French doors, looks out over the sea. Because both bedrooms are up a flight of stairs, it is less good for guests who need to avoid stairs.

The kitchen has an electric oven, a four-ring induction hob, a microwave, a fridge with freezer compartment, a washing machine, a slimline dishwasher, a toaster and a kettle. A woodburning stove warms the living area alongside electric heating, and the fuel, power and stove starter pack are included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are supplied too, though guests should bring their own beach towels. A Smart TV with streaming, WiFi, books and games are provided, and a travel cot and highchair are available.

Surfers get a front patio with surf storage and an outdoor shower. Behind the cottage an enclosed rear garden has a lawn, a patio and a picnic bench. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and smoking is not allowed. The cottage suits a couple or a small family with a dog who want to be close to the sea.
