Klys Cottage

Klys Cottage is a purpose-built holiday cottage in Bude with a private outdoor swimming pool, 700 metres from Summerleaze Beach. Two bedrooms - a king-size and a twin - sleep 4, and the vaulted lounge with wood burner and French doors to the garden gives a comfortable year-round feel. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, and everything needed for self-catering. BBQ and off-road parking for 2 cars are included.

The cottage is within 0.25 miles of Bude’s town centre, where there are restaurants, pubs, a golf course, and a supermarket. Crooklets Beach - a longer, surf-friendly stretch popular with families - is 1.1km north of Summerleaze. Both beaches can be reached without moving the car. The South West Coast Path runs through the town and connects to Northcott Mouth, 2.3km north, and the dramatic cliffside stretch toward Hartland.

Bude has a tidal sea pool built into the rocks at the north end of Summerleaze - one of the few natural seawater lidos in the UK. The town also has a canal with flat walking, an independent bookshop, and a range of cafes. The Devon border is 3 miles east, and Dartmoor is under an hour by car.

Best for families or a couple who want a private pool and a short walk to the beach. The combination of pool, BBQ, and central location makes this one of the better-value properties in Bude. One dog is welcome. Not great for those who want a rural escape, as the setting is residential and close to the road.
