Lakeside Haven

Lakeside Haven is a Scandinavian-style timber lodge for four in Kilkhampton, a village about five miles north-east of Bude. One double and one twin bedroom share a single bathroom, and double doors from the open-plan lounge lead out to a private lakeside patio.

The patio holds a charcoal barbecue, and Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and EV charging are included; dogs are not accepted. The park's shared leisure centre has an indoor pool with private access for lodge guests, plus a sauna, hot tub, games room and a resident spa therapist. A tennis court and an outdoor play area sit elsewhere on site, useful for families on a wet afternoon. The lounge has a sofa, two armchairs and a Smart TV with a DVD player, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom is on the ground floor and both bedrooms are upstairs.

Tamar Lakes walking paths begin about a mile from the lodge, and Kilkhampton's village pub is a 2.5-mile walk. Sandymouth Beach is 4.6 miles away, Duckpool Beach 4.7 miles and Northcott Mouth 4.9 miles - each needs a short drive. Bude itself, with its sea pool at Summerleaze and surf beaches, is 8 miles from the property.

**Best for:** a small family wanting a private pool, tennis, an outdoor play area and EV charging. **Less good for:** guests needing step-free access, or a beach within a short walk.
