Lakeside Landing

Lakeside Landing is a Scandinavian-style lodge near Kilkhampton in north Cornwall, sleeping 4 across a double and a twin bedroom. The lodge sits within a lakeside complex, and double doors open onto a private patio with a charcoal BBQ facing the water. The shared facilities on site are unusually comprehensive for a smaller property: indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, games room, and tennis court, with coarse fishing available at the lake. EV charging is also on site.

Inside, the lodge has 1 bathroom and Wi-Fi, with a dishwasher included. The interior is compact but well fitted. The patio is the main draw for relaxed evenings.

Sandymouth Beach is 4.6 miles west - a National Trust-managed sandy beach with a distinctive sea stack called Steeple Rock, lifeguarded in summer. Bude town with its canal, surf beaches, and shops is about 5 miles south-west. The Tamar Lakes walking circuit starts about 1 mile from the property, offering a 2-mile flat loop around the reservoir. Kilkhampton village itself has a pub and a church with over 150 carved medieval bench ends. Visit Bude and the north Cornwall coast for more on the wider area.

**Best for:** Couples or small families wanting on-site leisure facilities - pool, hot tub, tennis - without paying coastal premium. EV drivers and dog owners welcome.

**Less good for:** Those wanting to walk to the sea - the nearest beach is a 4-mile drive. The lodge is compact for larger groups.
