Lakeside View

Lakeside View is a Scandinavian-style timber lodge for four overlooking the water near Kilkhampton, about five miles north-east of Bude. One double and one twin bedroom share a single bathroom, and double doors connect the open-plan lounge to a private waterside patio.

The patio holds a charcoal barbecue for outdoor dining beside the water. Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and EV charging are included; there is no washing machine, and dogs are not accepted. Shared on-site facilities include an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, games room, tennis court and children's play area, with playing fields, woodland and coarse-fishing lakes filling out the grounds.

Tamar Lakes walking paths begin about a mile away, and Kilkhampton's village pub is a 2.5-mile walk past the parish church of St James, known for its carved bench ends. Sandymouth Beach is 4.6 miles from the lodge, Duckpool Beach 4.7 miles and Northcott Mouth 4.9 miles. Bude, with its Summerleaze sea pool and surf beaches, is 8 miles away.
