Lands End

Lands End is a ground-floor cottage at Rosecraddoc Holiday Village near St Cleer, on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor. The property sleeps four in two bedrooms and sits within easy reach of moorland walks and prehistoric sites.

The cottage is entirely on one level, with a double bedroom and a twin. A shower room has a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, and washing machine. The living and dining room has a TV and WiFi. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

A patio with garden furniture runs along the side of the property, and off-road parking is provided. Fishing is available at the adjacent Rosecraddoc Manor lake. Plaidy Beach - a sheltered sand-and-shingle beach near Looe with rock pools - is 8.5 miles south. East Looe Beach, a golden sand town beach, sits 9 miles away.

St Cleer is ringed by prehistoric monuments: the Trethevy Quoit dolmen and the Hurlers stone circles are both about 2 miles from the village. Liskeard, with supermarkets and a railway station serving Plymouth and Penzance, is roughly 3 miles south. Bodmin Moor stretches north from the doorstep, with walks across open heath to Caradon Hill and Minions - the highest village in Cornwall.

Best for a couple or family wanting single-level living close to Bodmin Moor's prehistoric sites. Less good for a beach holiday - the nearest beach, Plaidy, is an 8.5-mile drive.
