Langford Barton

Langford Barton is a four-bedroom cottage near Marhamchurch, a village about 1.5 miles south of Bude, sleeping 8 across a super-king-size room, two king-size rooms and a twin. Three bathrooms serve the group, including an en-suite for the ground-floor king-size bedroom - useful for a guest who cannot manage stairs.

A wood burner heats the main living space, and the cottage looks out over open countryside. The enclosed front garden has a terrace for outdoor meals. Wi-Fi, parking for three cars, a dishwasher and washing machine are provided, and up to two dogs are welcome. There is no hot tub, swimming pool or EV charging point.

Marhamchurch's Norman church of St Marwenne and the Bullers Arms pub sit at the centre of the village, which holds its Revel Week each August with a procession and a crowned Revel Queen. Bude's Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches, plus the free tidal Bude Sea Pool, are about a 5-minute drive, and the Bude Canal towpath gives a flat walking and cycling route into the countryside.

Widemouth Bay, over two miles of surf sand, is 2.2 miles away; Millook Beach, known for its folded cliff strata, is 3.2 miles; and Summerleaze Beach is 3.9 miles.
