Three beaches are within 800 metres. Vugga Cove is 400m - a small rocky cove that clears at low tide and tends to stay quiet. Porth Joke (also known as Polly Joke), 500m away, is one of the few beaches on the north Cornish coast with no road access and no facilities - just dunes, a stream, and a wide sweep of sand managed by the National Trust. Crantock Beach is 800m with a surf school in summer. Newquay town centre, with its restaurants and larger surf shops, is around 4 miles by road.
Best for: couples wanting sea views, beach access from the door, and an EV-friendly base on the quieter side of Newquay. Less good for: those needing more than one bedroom.
