The property was originally part of a farm complex and retains exposed stone detailing inside. An open fire is the main source of warmth in the sitting room - logs are supplied or purchasable nearby. Dogs are welcome.

The village itself is compact and walkable. There is a pub, a tea room, and a village shop within a few minutes. Crantock Beach is just under 1km along the lane - a wide, dune-backed sandy bay that faces west and catches the afternoon sun. Fistral, Newquay's main surfing beach, is 1.5km in the opposite direction. The headland path between the two takes around 30 minutes on foot and passes above Vugga Cove.

Porth Joke, an undeveloped National Trust cove with no road access, is reachable via the coastal path in about 40 minutes. It is one of the quieter beaches in the area and good for dogs year-round.

Best for couples or solo travellers with a dog who want a village base with beach access on foot. Less suited to families needing more than 1 bedroom or those wanting a second car space.
