The beach sits at the mouth of the Gannel estuary, which at low tide becomes a tidal flat worth exploring on foot. The village has a pub, a tea room, and a small shop, keeping most daily needs within walking distance.

Fistral Beach, one of the UK's most well-known surf spots, is 1.4km north over the headland and accessible on foot via the coast path. Newquay town centre is about 2km, with supermarkets, restaurants, and the main train station. Porth Joke - a quiet cove often missed by day visitors - is a 30-minute walk south along the coast path and worth the effort for the seclusion.

This property is ideal for couples or solo travellers with a dog who want direct access to a quieter beach village rather than staying in Newquay itself. Crantock's location keeps the rate lower than properties on the beach, while the 600-metre walk is easy. Less good for guests who want nightlife - Crantock is quiet in the evening. Friday changeover.
