Blake Lodge

Blake Lodge is a single-storey annex in the village of Crantock, part of the Byron Cottages group. It sleeps two. The bedroom has one king-size bed made from two zip and link mattresses; ask at least 48 hours before arrival if you would rather have it set up as a twin. The shower room has a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

The living space is open-plan, with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and patio doors lead out to the garden. The kitchen has an electric oven, a two-ring induction hob, a combination microwave and a Nespresso machine. There is a Smart TV. The heating is an air source heat pump, and fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included, though beach towels are not.

The garden is enclosed, with a bistro set, and a shed takes two bikes or boards. Park one car on the driveway; more parking is available on the street. The shop is 0.3 miles away, two pubs are 0.4 miles away, along with a small cafe that becomes a pizzeria in the evening and runs in the summer months, and the beach and dunes are 0.8 miles, with a National Trust car park there if you need it. Fast EV chargers are 2.5 miles away. Because of the fire risk from lithium batteries, e-bikes and e-scooters, batteries included, must not be charged or stored inside. Pets and smoking are not allowed.

It suits a couple or a solo traveller, and it is less good for anyone with a dog or a third guest. It can also be booked together with a second cottage in the group under a separate reference, sleeping 8 guests in total. Newquay is 4.5 miles from Crantock.
