The nearest beaches are on the south coast - Downderry Beach is 19.6km and the South East Cornwall coast around Looe is the practical choice for a beach day. Plymouth is about 30 minutes by road for larger retail, rail connections, and the ferry terminal to Brittany and northern Spain.

Ideal for couples or accessible-requirement stays who want a rural Tamar Valley base with good links to both Dartmoor and the south coast. Not great for those wanting beach-focused stays, as all beaches are 20km or more away. Saturday changeover.
