Little Howlek

Little Howlek is a detached two-bedroom bungalow on the upper edge of East Looe's Barbican area, sleeping four with dogs welcome. One bedroom has two 3ft single beds and the other a 4ft 6in double. It sits within walking distance of Plaidy beach - about 600 metres east along the coast - and close enough to central Looe for shops and the harbour.

Check-in is from 4pm, check-out by 10am, and Friday is the preferred changeover day. The bungalow has a ground-floor layout across two bedrooms and one bathroom, with a courtyard garden to the rear and parking for two cars at the front. The kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher, WiFi is included, and the lounge has a multi-fuel burner with a conservatory dining room alongside.

East Looe beach is about 0.7 miles from the door, a sheltered sandy beach with the working harbour alongside it. Bus routes and a small cluster of local shops are within walking distance, so the basics are covered. The South West Coast Path from Looe runs east to Plaidy and further towards Millendreath, and west through the woods towards Polperro.

Best for couples or small families with dogs who want a quiet base close to Looe's harbour and coast path. Less good for groups larger than four, or anyone expecting more than two bedrooms.
