Little Trelana

Little Trelana sits on the edge of Kilkhampton village, within reach of two traditional inns, a village store, and the A39. Bude is 6 miles away, with independent shops, restaurants, bars, and three sandy beaches. Further along the coast, Boscastle (19 miles) and Tintagel (24 miles) make for a longer day out, and Tamar Lakes (3.5 miles) has watersports, fishing, and walking trails.

Inside, a porch holds the washing machine and space for boots and coats. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has contemporary units and views across the garden to open countryside and the sea beyond, with a built-in electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge with an ice compartment. A breakfast bar with two stools suits a morning coffee, and a separate table extends the dining space. The lounge has a sofa and chair, Smart TV, and patio doors to the gated terrace/balcony. The master king-size bedroom, off the lounge, has its own Smart TV, garden views, and an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, WC and a bluetooth mirror. The second bedroom, a twin room off the kitchen area, has its own en-suite shower room and WC.

Outside via the patio doors, a small patio/balcony has a charcoal BBQ and a bistro table with relaxing views over the garden. Guests share the lawn garden below with the owner, planted with established shrubs and small trees, and off-road parking for up to 2 cars sits at the front of the property.

Little Trelana sleeps 4 across 2 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, with one dog welcome and use of the garden BBQ. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking. Best for couples or small families wanting a village base within easy reach of Bude's beaches; less good for larger groups or anyone wanting the coast path straight from the door, since the sea is a drive away.

Nearby: Duckpool Beach (3.4 miles) and Sandymouth Beach (3.4 miles). See our Kilkhampton guide for more beaches and walks in the area.
