Plaidy Beach is 200 metres from the door - a small sheltered cove tucked between Looe and Millendreath, accessible via the coast path and typically quieter than the main town beach. East Looe Beach, the main sandy stretch in the town centre, is 1km west along the coast path. Hannafore Beach, on the western headland of Looe, is 1.6km and faces across to Looe Island.

Looe itself is one of the more characterful fishing towns in south Cornwall. The old town on the East Looe side has narrow streets, independent shops, fish restaurants, and a branch line railway that runs to Liskeard on the main line - useful for a car-free day. The working harbour still lands local catch, and shark angling trips operate from the quay. The drive to Polperro takes around 15 minutes.

This property works for couples who want affordable beach access and don't need a washing machine or dishwasher. The 200-metre walk to Plaidy Cove is a genuine draw. Less good for guests who rate a high review score as a priority - check the reviews first. Monday changeover.
